In recent years, the Japanese labor export program has brought a large number of Vietnamese workers to work in the Japanese market. There are many reasons why Japan recruits Vietnamese labor in significant and increasing numbers each year, such as open-door policies, integration, and the cooperative relationship between Vietnam and Japan.
Why do Japanese people like hiring Vietnamese workers?
-
Hardworking and diligent Vietnamese labor
Inheriting the good virtues of their ancestors, Vietnamese people possess many good qualities such as diligence, hard work, and honesty. These are the advantages that the Japanese people appreciate when selecting Vietnamese workers to come and work in their country.
-
Efficiency of Vietnamese labor
Why do the Japanese like to hire Vietnamese workers? The second reason is that Vietnamese people are undeniably intelligent, and they are particularly diligent in learning, which makes them work extremely efficiently. This is also the advantage that the Japanese people appreciate when choosing Vietnamese labor to work for their companies.
Minister of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Vietnam, Dao Ngoc Dung, and Minister of Health, Labor, and Welfare of Japan, Katsunobu Kato, have reached agreements on various matters during their meeting.
Quoting an interview with the reporter of "Người Lao Động" (The Laborer) newspaper and Mr. Takeshi Fukuda, Chairman of the Kanto Information Industry Cooperative Society (Japan), he said:
"I feel that the people of Vietnam and Japan are very close, with similarities in culture. Personally, I have always had positive feelings towards TNS Vietnam. The qualities of diligence, hard work, eagerness to learn, and quick adaptation to work of Vietnamese laborers have made them increasingly chosen by many Japanese employers.

Limitations that still exist
Alongside the positive virtues and traditions, in recent years, there has been an increase in incidents of theft, harassment of women, lack of discipline, and labor desertion among Vietnamese people in Japan. This situation is not only limited to workers in Japan but also includes some issues concerning Vietnamese students and tourists. This has led to a somewhat unstable social situation in Japan. Furthermore, and more importantly, Vietnamese people have tarnished their good image in the eyes of the Japanese.
Leaving a negative impression on the Japanese people has undermined the positive image of Vietnamese individuals. It also has a significant impact on the Japanese labor export program and other cooperation programs between the two countries.
Therefore, as a Vietnamese citizen living, working, and studying in Japan, it is crucial to uphold the good moral qualities of the Vietnamese people.
